Visual Forces Final Project - Shoe

YES YES YES I made this shoe all on my own. I am happy with how it turned out :D

I've been putting off blogging/writing for some time because once again, my "g" and "h" keys refused to work, but now they are back on track and so here I am.

I got four molars out on the 19th. My jaw needs alignment, so I'm getting braces. It wasn't painful during the procedure but I wanted to die afterwards. I've been taking eight extra strength Tylenol's per day every since. My whole family calls me druggie because I get so excited whenever the 4-hour timer on my phone goes off. SPEAK OF THE DEVIL IT JUST WENT OFF. HOLD ON. I'm only taking one per 4-hours this time because it feels better. I've been having soup, pudding, jello, yogurt, milkshakes, mashed potatoes, and mushy rice for almost a week now. I just want an nice big Angus burger. Oh, and apparently, laughing gas isn't supposed to make you laugh but I got really high off of it and couldn't stop giggling. Dentists thought I was crazy. I am crazy.

I did a nude life drawing yesterday. It was a cute male, which made it all the hell more awkward. Apparently he sensed my nervousness because he winked at me a couple of times which made me want to punch him. He was nice enough to not give me a lot of frontal...views....though. Also he was the first model I've had who shaved...everywhere. Pictures up next week. NOT OF HIM. Of my drawings. When class was over my Prof came up to see my drawings and she said "so did you like drawing him?" and I saw him looking at me over her shoulder grinning like an idiot. I glared at him and then turned to my Prof and said "I guess". He then started chuckling as he put his robe on. Jerk.

When my mom came to pick me up from the mall that night, I stuffed my bag and portfolio in the front seat with me instead of putting it in the back like usual. Mom and I were chatting conversationally when suddenly I hear a loud ROAR and a hand clamps my head from the back. Of course, I expel and guttural shriek which causes my mom to brake hard and my dad to laugh hysterically from the backseat. I yelled at him and started laughing, but my heart was still beating hard until I got home.

This is the last week of assignments for this semester. OH WOWZA. It went by so fast. Next Tuesday is my last day of class, and December 11th is my last exam. THEN CHRISTMAS BREAK YAAAAYYYYY :D

Have I ever told you how much I love Lady Gaga? I think I have. But anyway...

I freaking love her.

Her high-end fashion and her eccentric dance moves made me super-enjoy the video, and I respect it for being different and a reflection of who she is. Taking place in a white bathhouse, "Bad Romance" showcases Gaga's quirky dancing and knack for eye-popping visuals. Gaga used A LOT of Alexander's McQueen's pieces from Paris Fashion Week, including my favorite, theMcQueenadillos!!!

Yesterday. Things that happened.

Today. Things that need to be done.

1. I saw and was interviewed by stand up comedian Trevor Boris from Much Music. He was interviewing other people from my school and asking questions like "How does it feel to go to a school that looks like an alien spaceship?"
   
   
2. First nude MALE model. Not some cute young guy, either. Old Chinese man. SCARRED FOR LIFE. I will post my drawings next week when I get them back. Last week I had a female model (see here), which truly wasn't awkward at all.
   
   
3. Waiting for the subway to go back home at around 10pm. There was this guy who was moving down the platform asking people for spare change. When he got to me I quite honestly said "I'm an artist. I have no spare change."
   
   
4. I came home to see a drawing I did on the kitchen wall, replacing my 10 year old sister's paintings. Sorry, Amy.
   
   
5. I have two projects to get done for Thursday and I feel like I'm cheating on one. I'm not painting it, I'm collaging it.
   
   
6. I gotta go watch videos of male gangsters now. Must get in character for friend's film.

OWL CITY - OCEAN EYES

Okay somewhere in October I was so in love with LIGHTS' debut CD (still am)

I am now in love with another synth-pop artist Owl City, who released their third CD this past July :)

Why have I taken so long to discover them?

Comprised of one person (like LIGHTS), he refers to his sounds, backing band, and himself as Owl City.

Also like LIGHTS, Owl City's songwriting talents are...out of this world. I don't understand anything, and at the same time, I just get it all. Some of OC's songs (like Saltwater Room on the teddy) make me feel so happy inside!!

LIGHTS & OWL CITY ARE GOING ON TOUR TOGETHER but not in my area which is extremely sad.
